An Elevated Status
1. The Plan of God Was Intentional and Misunderstood. (Matthew 17:22-23, Acts 2:23, John 14:1-3)
Acts 2:23, Though he [Jesus] was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.
John 14:1-3, Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.
2. The Plan of God IS Transformational and Elevating. (Matthew 17:24-26, 2 Corinthians 5:17, 2 Corinthians 6:18, Romans 8:1-2)
2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 6:18, I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.
Romans 8:1-2, Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, because the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
3. The Plan of God IS Provisional and Inspirational. (Matthew 17:27, 2 Corinthians 9:8-9, Philippians 4:18-19, Ephesians 3:20-21)
2 Corinthians 9:8-9, And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work. As it is written: He distributed freely; he gave to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.
Philippians 4:18-19, But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance… And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 3:20-21, Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
