I Love to Tell the Story
Ephesians 3:8-13
Today is Valentine’s Day. A day of love, a day of proclamation, a day to be sweet, to pass a note, to encourage a friend, or remember a loved-one. Do you have a plan to do something special? While we do a good job of decorating, purchasing gifts, expressing our love for this holiday, let’s make sure that we don’t miss the other more significant love in this world. The Love of God has been given to us in the most amazing way! Have you spent as much time this week sharing it as you have preparing for today? Christians must radiate His love and message of hope every day of the year!
1. The Declaration of the Gospel Has Been Afforded to the “Leasters”. (Vs. 8, 2 Cor 12:10)
a. 2 Corinthians 12:10, “So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
2. Shed Light on Earth and to Heaven! (Vs. 8-11, Col 1:25-27, 1 Pet 1:12)
a. Colossians 1:25-27, “I have become its servant, according to God’s commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
b. 1 Peter 1:12, “It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.”
3. God Has Empowered Us with Freedom of Speech; Speak Boldly and Confidently in Him! (Vs. 12-13, Matt 10:18-20)
a. Matthew 10:18-20, “You will even be brought before governors and kings because of me, to bear witness to them and to the Gentiles. But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you are to speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour, because it isn’t you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you.”
