Where Are You Going?
Matthew 28:1-10
1. Jesus Could Not Be Held by the Tomb nor Overpowered by Death! (Matthew 28:1-3; Acts 2:24, 13:35)
Acts 2:24, God raised him up, ending the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by death.
Acts 13:35, Therefore he also says in another passage, You will not let your Holy One see decay.
2. Christians Need Not Be Afraid, They Need to Tell the Story! (Matthew 28:4-7, 2 Timothy 1:7, Acts 4:31)
2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.
Acts 4:31, When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God boldly.
3. Even When You Can’t “SEE” Jesus, You Can TRUST Jesus! (Matthew 28:7-8, Philippians 1:6)
Philippians 1:6, I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
4. Follow the Path of Faith and be With Jesus! (Matthew 28:8-10, John 14:1-7)
John 14:1-7, “Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also. You know the way to where I am going.” “Lord,” Thomas said, “we don’t know where you’re going. How can we know the way?” Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you know me, you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
