Can You See It?
Romans 1:16-23
1. The Power of the Gospel is to Save, In Faith, For Faith. (Romans 1:16-17, Acts 4:12)
Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.
2. The Gospel Saves from Rebellion and Hatred Which Bring Wrath. (Romans 1:18-19)
3. Creation Testifies to the Creator; Don’t be Too “Smart” for Salvation! (Romans 1:20-23, Colossians 1:16, Acts 14:15-17, Isaiah 44:18-19)
Colossians 1:16, For everything was created by him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through him and for him.
Acts 14:15-17, People! Why are you doing these things? We are people also, just like you, and we are proclaiming good news to you, that you turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything in them. In past generations he allowed all the nations to go their own way, although he did not leave himself without a witness, since he did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.
Isaiah 44:18-19, Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for he has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand. No one comes to his senses; no one has the perception or insight to say, “I burned half of it in the fire, I also baked bread on its coals, I roasted meat and ate. Should I make something detestable with the rest of it? Should I bow down to a block of wood?”
