In Acts 27, Paul is a prisoner and is being taken to Rome. God has a plan for him, a plan for him to share the gospel with Caesar and to help start and encourage the church in Rome. As Paul is on the way, the boat he is on gets caught in a terrible storm and the guards decide to kill everyone – Paul speaks to them and as God’s favor is with him, the guards relent. The ship is destroyed, but they make it to land.

As we pick up the story, I wonder how many people feel like they have been shipwrecked in the personal, professional, or even spiritual lives? But there is great hope for those who trust in the Lord – because when it is all said and done, we are most secure in Him. Let’s finish this year well. Stay strong, the Lord is with us!
